Social Contribution
As a social enterprise, HEN has a responsibility to develop and integrate social objectives into the day to day running of the organisation, and to reinvest much of the surplus back into our business and/or the community to help achieve these objectives and change people's lives for the better.
As a social enterprise, we are not driven by the need to maximise profit for shareholders and owners, HEN will generate a surplus to 'put back' into the community in a variety of ways. For example, Executive Committee members commit to privind half a day free of charge each quarter to help individuals and organisations. This might be developing junior management leadership skills for capactiy building and organisation development, supporting volunteers, work places and others in 'Health is everbody's business' implementation schemes; providing coaching and mentoring skills where a need has been identified; providing a knowledge resource for traditional service providers.
